Is God Pleased with The Gospel Superfest Being At Temple of Deliverance COGIC: What Happened To Making An Impact By Pastor Corby Bush When He Was Preaching There?

We do not think God approves of the Gospel SuperFest being in the sanctuary of Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ.   Pastor Corby Bush, Sr. preached at Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ when the late Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson was living and we yet believe on making an impact, which means not to allow the world to come into the body of Christ to change it.   Therefore, all of these gospel artists mingling with secular entertainers, whether they be actors, singers or comedians is not right in the eyes of God, not unless they completely follow Jesus Christ and completely step away from the world.   It is time to wake up, after losing Whitney Houston.   We believe Whitney Houston knew Jesus Christ, but we feel she yet would have been here, if all the gospel artists she was friends with would have been more of an true example of complete holiness and righteous saints.   Gospel artists should have no more fellowship with those in the world, unless they have completely captivated them from entertaining for the world.   The Word of God, the Holy Bible says this, 'Love not the world neither the things that are in the world, he that loveth the world the love of the Father is not in him (I John 2:15).   Therefore, we can love people in the world, but not associate with them, because they have not completely separated from the world.

The Church of God in Christ has a history of preaching against sin and enforcing values of true holiness and righteous, but when they allow such events where the late Presiding Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson once stood and even previous bishops before him, we cannot understand it and by allowing the upcoming Gospel SuperFest to be held there is very hypocritical in our opinion.   We do not disagree just because we feel gospel artists should have no dealings with secular entertainers, but also because these days, some gospel artists seemed to live and perform very similar to secular artists, we have not seen them as completely holy or righteous gospel artists.  Allegedly, they dress and dance like the world so much, some of them allegedly appear like thugs and prostitutes.   Some of them even allegedly uphold the Satan Corna hand sign during their performances, which is a message to Satan that they honor him.  Therefore, a lot of the celebrities they associate with, are involved in the world of Satanism, this is why there should now be a standard for complete holiness.

Over the years, we feel that gospel artists have not sent a clear message of true holiness by the way the perform and dress.  We really feel many secular artists and entertainers have received a clear message of hypocrisy through them.  Therefore, they automatically think they are saved when they mingle with gospel artists and even have been appointed to host their events on an annual basis.  God is not pleased with this alleged hypocrisy and if things do not turn around and we continue to see secular celebrities dying like our dear sister Whitney Houston, God is going to send His wrath not just on gospel artists, but also these bishops and pastors whom support and allow them to perform in God's House without enforcing the morals and values of complete holiness like they have so often preached about since the birth of the Church of God in Christ.

On these following two videos, Pastor Corby Bush preached about the saints of God making an impact and not allowing the world come into the church to change us, but for us to only change them.  He also stated we should go back to praying on our knees, seeking the Lord.   How are can those whom are truly saved remain on the knees fasting and praying if the message of impact is allegedly being ignored by those in authority at the Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ?   How can the saints of God continue to faithfully pray on their knees while the Gospel SuperFest is going to be held in a place where holiness is most preached?   How can the saints of God continue to pray on their knees while gospel artists are dressing and performing just like the world and associating and collaborating with secular entertainers? The Bible says this: 'Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?'  Saints of God, God is not pleased with this alleged hypocrisy and if it does not cease, we will witness God's wrath against those within the church whom have went along with this alleged hypocrisy to take place in God's House without stopping it.  Furthermore, if gospel artists continue to perform and act like the world while secular artists continue to die, their blood will be on their hands and God will began to reveal His wrath against them, because they were suppose to be like Christ, not like the world. They were suppose to make an impact as holy gospel artists.   They were suppose to send a message of complete holiness and righteousness, not an alleged message of hypocrisy.   These secular music artists and entertainers think they are automatically saved when they join the masses of hip hop gospel events, but God said He is not pleased and that does not make them saved.  God wants complete deliverance and after people get completely delivered from sin, He requires that they not only look holy, but also act holy and over the years, many gospel artists have not allegedly shown a difference, they have not allegedly shown the true light of Jesus Christ.  Making an impact means to draw sinners in the world to Jesus Christ, not allowing the world to make an impact on the body of Christ to change us into a worldly fashion.  This following sermons yet goes for today, even after the home-going of the late Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson, because the Word of God says this: 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).'
